Description:
Reviewed in issue #12 of Bass Gear Magazine, the RS112/RS112T is the bigger brother of the RS110. You get a very nice stand up bass tone out of a solid body fretless. Bass Gear had it just left of rock on their “Toneometer” but to my ears it’s also a strong, jazz, blues, or fusion cab. Response is predictable: smooth and even top to bottom, and a myriad of tonal changes are available with slight changes of your EQ. The RS112 sounds great straight up and down on your amp eq, but as many of the players have stated, there are so many possibilities. The cab interacts wonderfully with pedals. Stack up 2 RS112 cabs, and you can cover any gig that you wouldn’t be looking to house for support on.
The RS112/112T are finished in black Duratex or choose from a variety of available tolex options. The cabinets are fitted with a perfectly balanced side handle, sound isolating feet on the bottom and side opposite handle, (2) parallel Neutriks Speakon connectors, L-pad for tweeter control, 16 gauge black powder coated grill with a choice of Rev logos, and black or chrome nickel corners.
Compare the sensitivity of the RS112/112T to every other 112 bass cabinet on the market. The RS112/112T sensitivities as tested at the Cab Lab at Bass Gear Magazine: 102.2 db 1 watt/ 1 meter.
